Mother's Day is a nice time to sit down and share a special tea with mom. I had my mother's day tea on a cool, rainy morning--a morning perfect for hot pomegranate tea and warm scones. Enjoy the photos and, as always, I would love to hear your comments.

The tea I served was Bentley's hand picked pure white tea. It's a gourmet tea from England that smells and tastes delicious. We had pomegranate on this occasion, but there are numerous other flavors such as blueberry, raspberry, and ginger-peach in white, green, and black teas.

This was an Easter present from my mom. I wonder where she got the idea I like rabbits?

Yellow chintz teapot.
The creamer and sugar are David Michael-Straffordshire English china.
The pomegranate stirrers are in a teacup from the Lefton China Co. These added a really nice flavor to the tea along with a little sweetness.
Who wouldn't love to finish their tea and to see these flowers? This teacup is from the Hammersley Co. English Bone China.
The teacup to the left is fine bone china from the Elizabethan China Co. The teacup in the center is Royal Albert English China. The painted glass vase was made for me by my daughter when she was in fourth grade.
The forth teacup is yet another of my antique finds. It is Hnktunstall Old English China Sampler.
This two-tier tray is from Royal Albert. The pattern is Old Country Roses, one of the most collected in the world. It holds the carrot cookies dipped in white chocolate, Lemon Snaps, and the Almond tea cookies.
After everyone's first bite, they said "Wow." My daughter made these and they were so good. Light green floral jelly jar holds peach preserves.
Covered butter dish from Godinger Co. in New York.
I should have taken the photo earlier--these were disappearing quickly. They were very creamy inside. My favorite was the dark chocolate.
The feather tree is all decorated too. Finally it is spring!

Happy Mother's Day !!
P.S. Mom I love you more than a day of sunshine in my garden. There has never been one minute I wasn't glad you were my mother. Love you so much--Cathy
