New Years Eve 2013!

We haven't cracked the champagne but the table is set and we are ready to celebrate! 2012 was such a great year and it deserves a celebration in style. I have to admit I enjoy a New Year's Eve filled with over the top decorations, great food, and, of course, great champagne.

I first covered my table in a regular gold tablecloth. Then I layered a piece of sparkly see-through fabric from Joann's Fabrics over the tablecloth. It's champagne organza with transparent beads. I did not sew the edges, I simply placed it over the gold tablecloth for a fun look.

Every table deserves a great centerpiece. My large cloche jar is filled with gold tinsel and
gold ornaments.
I just love it!

Party hats are a must for a New Year's Eve celebration. Everyone loves getting a little silly so make sure you have a variety of  head gear, noisemakers and tiaras for the party goers.

For my place setting I used my white chargers and decorative cream dishes. I then topped them with a sparkly organza napkin and place card.

I've also covered the table in chocolate gold coins, Ferrero Rocher candies, and Lindor white chocolate truffles.

I even added organza ribbon streamers to the chandelier

My blackboard is always part of the party.

Guests will find a fortune cookie under their hat.

This tree was a holiday favorite of  mine this year. My friend Linda was kind enough
to give me 6 wire hangers. I then made the tree with a tutorial I found on You Tube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWaCg_yxZoI. I then wrapped 4 strands of gold and silver garland
around the outside, added a few gold ornaments and colored lights. It reminds me of the tinsel trees
of the seventies. Love It!

My party for six starts at 8:30 PM with appetizers and cocktails. My husband’s homemade pizza and antipasto salad will be served promptly at Midnight. Festive, holiday clothing is a must!

I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve celebration.
Well Chat soon...Cathy
