Fall Bonfire

Yes, it's that time of year when days are getting shorter, the temperature's dropping and folks are heading indoors. My plan is to squeeze in a few more outdoor gatherings before the winter sets in.
First, I plan on keeping everyone warm with a bonfire. I will use hay bails covered with cozy plaid blankets to sit on. My truck will be used for serving my tail gate style supper. We will enjoy each other's company long into the night under the crisp clear fall sky.--"Kumbaya", anyone?

Our scarecrow, Alfred, adds personality wherever he goes.

My painted wheel barrow held the hot carafe of apple cider, mugs and iced Coke.

I called this the s'more station. Plenty of chocolate bars, graham crackers, and marshmallows.  My grandma's old pickle crock held the skewers to roast the marshmallows.

There was plenty of seating and extra blankets to wrap up in for everyone.

This lattice plant stand has been a favorite of mine for many years. It's so pretty with the mums and the raven, of course.

We kept the fire going long into the night.

My garden is ready to be cut back, but not until my fall daises are done blooming.

Happy Fall Everyone!
